Holidays will be here soon and these jewelry would certainly make for a great gift. The handcrafted pieces were designed and created by German fashion designer, Sonja Bonk. The bracelets are knotted with woolen fibers and framed with gold plated chain. The necklace is made from Aztec cotton rope with a quartz pendant. The pieces are sold under the brand name, Bonk Ibiza, and are available here on Etsy.

This colorful geometric floor pattern aptly entitled, “Here I Am”, was created by Dutch painter, George Korsmit. It was commissioned for the Regional Training Center in Almelo, Netherlands. Much of the artist’s paintings, sculptures and installations are built up of irregular patches of color whose arrangements are determined by control and chance. It makes for a hypnotizing effect which is what the artist aims for in his work.

We’ve featured Fabrica Uka previously in our old blog site but we felt they’re worth a second look. Impressed with these fabric brooches created by designer, illustrator, creator Toda Ayumi. We are inspired by all of the hand crafted efforts carried out in producing each product. The linen fabric is hand printed using her own designs. The artist embellishes the fabric with embroidery and then lines the brooch with unbleached cotton fabric and attaches the hangtag and pin. She has enhanced the item further with a very unique collage packaging. All in all a very appealing, well-thought-out handmade product.
