Clairice Gifford

Clairice Gifford is a designer and illustrator based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her focus is in graphic design, surface pattern, lettering and illustration. Her work is influenced by her Swedish heritage, bright colors, travel and typography. In a Spoonflower blog she writes this about her work:

“I always start my designs with sketches in my notebook, but since I’m a graphic designer, most things eventually end up on the computer.”

The artist can be found on her website, Instagram, Behance and Dribble. She has an Etsy shop, Nifty Swank but she is currently on a short hiatus.

Kit Couture

Probably would not come out empty-handed in this Copenhagen shop, Kit Couture. The company sells project kits that contain everything needed for a particular design whether it be knit, crochet or embroidery. Their designs are inspired by Scandinavian traditions and current Danish fashion. We particularly love the pillows and stocking designs but they also carry women, men and children’s fashion and accessories. The bonus is that they ship worldwide.

You can view their designs on their website, Instagram and on Facebook.

Juho Viitasalo

Love these simple sophisticated Nordic patterns created by Finish industrial designer Juho Viilasalo. He is currently living in Japan and is the chief designer for Propex Design, a design consultancy company in Osaka. He is also the owner and chief designer at Design Viitasalo Ltd. in Finland. The patterns have been used in smart phone cases and furoshiki (wrapping cloth) textile for the Japanese brand, Kotonowa.
