Discovered these great screen print designs on Etsy. They are the creations of Danish textile designer, Gunna Ydri. The London-based designer is a graduate of Chelsea College of Art & Design as well as the Royal College of Art where she specialized in printed textiles and illustrations. These stunning moth and butterfly sculptures are the creations of Japanese textile artist, Yumi Okita. The North Carolina-based designer creates these large pieces using different materials – cotton, feather, faux fur, embroidery thread and painted fabric. The pieces are sold here in her Etsy shop, which is currently showing a sculpted poppy that may be the start of a botanical series. Anxious to see her impending creations.

Admiring the folk inspired illustrations of Ohio-based artist, Dinara Mirtalipova. The Uzbekistan native is a self-taught illustrator and pattern designer. She writes this about sources that inspire her:
“I find my inspiration in folklore, old songs my mom used to sing to me, fairy tales from when I was little, a wall rug hung above my grandma’s bed, cultures, story telling, textiles and fabrics.”
