Hitomi Hosono

HitomiHosonoLondon-based ceramist, Hitomi Hosono, has studied porcelain work in both the Japanese and European traditions. Her current collection is inspired by leaves and flowers, of which, she says: “I find myself drawn to the intricacy of plants, examining the veins of a leaf, how its edges are shaped, the layering of a flower’s petals. I look, I touch, I draw.”

Note Design Studio

NoteDesignStudioThinking about purchasing the two Beetle posters created by Note Design Studio.  The Stockholm-based studio designed the posters for Danish company, Paper Collective, who offers a significant contribution of each poster purchased to the creator’s cause or charity. These particular designs support Greenpeace.

Also admiring their Teluria candelabra design shown on the bottom. The configuration represents the relative movement of the earth, moon and sun.

Jazmin Velasco

JazminVelasco

If you have read Jane Austen’s books you should be familiar with the quotes illustrated on these linocut prints created by artist, Jazmin Velasco.  Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, Jazmin studied graphic design, illustration, oil painting and printmaking. She is inspired by the works of Jose Guadalupe Posada and Saul Steinberg. Would certainly love to hang these graphic prints in my library.
