Gooseberry Moon

GooseberryMoonNicola Jones is the owner and designer behind the UK shop and studio, Gooseberry Moon. We love her style and brand which she duly describes in her profile page:

“With a ‘less is more’ aesthetic, I combine some of my favourite design elements including print, pattern, colour, calligraphy and typography to create beautifully simple paper goods for weddings and everyday. All designs are created from my original hand-drawn illustrations which are scanned and tweaked in photoshop to create patterns and motifs for greetings cards, notebooks, art prints and wedding stationery.”

“I’m inspired by the simple things in life, like shapes and silhouettes found in nature, and colour combinations and patterns in everyday surroundings. Berries, leaves and seedheads are some of my favourite things to draw.”

Owen Gent

OwenGentOwen Gent is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer based in Cornwall, England, who specializes in a range of creative areas such as publishing, editorial design, advertising, and animation. This quote from an interview on Cosmic-Orgasm gives you a tiny glimpse of what influences his style:

“Listening to a lot of traditional folk music definitely feeds into my work and spending a lot of time walking, especially on the Cornish coast has played a lare ppart in the themes and feel of my work. I’ve always found something beautifl in melancholy, and that’s always what’s affected me most in the music, film and artwork that I love, and that’s what I’d like people to take away from my work.”

Andrea Lauren

Andrea-LaurenAndrea Lauren is an English printmaker, illustrator and pattern designer currently living in the United States.

“I create hand carved linocut prints which embrace a variety of techniques from different printmaking traditions.  The unique challenge of creating imagery from positive and negative space, limited colors, as well as printing by hand inspires me to explore work from new perspectives.  Staying connected to traditional handmade art techniques in this technological age is of particular importance to me.”
