Malika Favre

MalikaFavreAppreciating the graphic illustrations of French illustrator, Malika Favre, who studied graphic design in Paris before moving to London to pursue illustration. Love her great design sense and her minimal use of colors. She describes her approach to illustration as follows:

“My approach to illustration is about paring things down as much as possible. I try and get to the essence of my subject by using as few lines and colours as it needs to convey the core of the idea.”

Having a strong desire to roam I am naturally attracted to maps and travel related graphics. These city alphabets and maps are the creation of freelance illustrator and printmaker, Steph Marshall. Love the whimsical approach and bright, bold colors of her hand printed art some of which can be purchased here on Not on the High Street.

Bart De Keyzer

Bart De Keyzer is the graphic designer/illustrator who created the animal poster series shown above. He works out of his design studio, 3rd Floor, located in Breva, Netherlands.  He describes these self-promotional pieces this way:

“The design for these educational poster series was inspired on the old ones we used to have in schools. They should help children to learn the different letters in the alphabet by linking them to a recognisable animal. A book based on the same concept is on it’s way.”

View his portfolio here on Behance and purchase his prints here on Society 6.
