Cari Mateo Repeat Patterns – 39

CMBlog100DaysWe have completed THE100DAYSPROJECT and here are a few of our newer designs.  Having done the project we have decided to adjust our blog topics.  Some days it has been difficult to find talented artist that we really admire so we will probably post very few of those.  Instead we want to focus on what we really are interested in which is patterns, graphics, retro, tribal and traditional  arts and crafts.  There will be fewer postings as we are going to be more selective.

Incidentally, some of our designs will be sold as fabrics or wrapping paper in our shop at Spoonflower.  All of the 100 patterns by Cari Mateo can be seen here.

Thank you very much for your constant support!

Ryan Todd

RyanToddAdmiring the bold, colorful and graphic illustrations of Ryan Todd, a London-based artist and designer. He has created a number of personal and commercial projects focusing creative thinking and wit. On an interview with Designboom, he talks about the best piece of advice he’s been given:

“There is something my dad used to say to me. I can’t remember the exact wording but it was something like ‘look at things as they can be, not as they are.’ I’m pretty sure he meant it to encourage me to see good in everything and everyone, which I love and try to do. but I also love the opportunity it creates; the idea that everything is packed with possibilities to change or improve. this sentiment of encouraging people to change the way they look at something is precisely what characterizes my work.”

You can see more of his work on his website, Facebook and Instagram.
