Paul Sirand

Paul Sirand is a French Illustrator and creative director. In 2013, he co-founded Le Fruit Studio with Gaspard Silvestre. Based in Paris, he’s inspired by his dogs and nature, and the tailored, well thought out look of uniforms. This Parisian illustrator presents himself as an amateur “of games of shadows and luminous atmospheres” that he tries “to transcribe with fairly simple palettes” . “I try to tell an open story, which anyone can interpret by observing the image. The idea is above all to project people into an atmosphere and a universe”.

The artist can be followed on his website, Dribble and Instagram.

Tetsuhiro Wakabayashi

On November 21, 2018 we posted a botanical calendar created by Japanese painter Tetsuhiro Wakabayashi.  We are revisiting this artist posting his enchanting utopian paintings of fishing bears, rowing deers and a few chimeric humans.  The artist lives and works in Kanazawa, Japan, studied at Kanazawa College of Art and began working in 2012.

You can view more of his work on his website, Behance, Facebook and Instagram.  A few of his paintings can be purchased here in his Etsy shop.

Fiona Hewitt

Have always loved vintage Chinese kitsch, the style of art created by Scottish illustrator, Fiona Hewitt.  The Brighton-based artist is an award-winning illustrator whose work has been used for animation, product design, editorial, advertising and publishing.  She has spent four years living in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai soaking up the colours, textures, icons and graphic styles of Asia. Upon her return to the UK she along with Asian kitsch expert, Andy Tainton,  created a company called Wu and Wu.  This move enabled her to transform her love of the Asian design aesthetic, nostalgia and sweet childhood memories into her art and her product range.

More of her work can be found on her website, Facebook and Instagram.  Some of her products can be purchased in her Etsy shop.
