Been awhile since we’ve visited this Japanese studio, Mellow Glass. We know very little about the glass artist Tanakayumi but we do know we love her work and want to see what’s new.
Australian sculptor Shona Wilson has created these intricate sculptural assemblages with found natural materials. Her ephemeral artworks are born out of a desire to open up creatively and spiritually. Nature is her inspiration of which she says:
“The repetitive use of Nature’s detritus brings me closer to understanding the world we share. The materials themselves are storehouses of knowledge and information. They act as ‘keys’, unlocking doors to memory, science, history and imagination… For the past 20 years my work has been an invitation to marvel and wonder at the details within nature which I have presented predominantly through sculptural assemblages.â€
Loving these nature illustrations of UK-based artist, Emma Clinton, aka Life as Illustrated. Found very little information about the artist other than she studied architecture for 5 years. Hence, the innate framework construction of her designs.
