Helena Ravenne

Helena Ravenne is a freelance graphic designer, illustrator and art director based in Hamburg, Germany. She studied Design and Illustration at the Institute of Technology in Nuremberg.  Her style is minimalistic, graphic, colorful, geometric and clearly with a distinct Scandinavian influence.

Kiyoshi Saito (1907 – 1997)

Kiyoshi Saito is a master Japanese printmaker and one of the first member in the sosaku hanga art movement.  Their action advocated principles of art that is “self-drawn”, “self-carved” and “self-printed” creating art for art’s sake. He worked as a sign painter apprentice but in 1932 moved to Tokyo to study art.  He developed a style of woodblock prints with a diminished color palette and simplified forms.  It is his compositions and aesthetic simplicity that attracted us to his work.

Andy Westface

Andy Westface was born and raised in Hong Kong.  He majored in graphic design in a design school and was art director of a local graphic design company.  He is currently  a freelance graphic designer and illustrator.  We love his work for the reasons he describes:

“I am a big fan of simplicity in vector art. I love the simple but clear and strong feeling so much.”
“The simplicity of vector art gives people a strong sense of space. I always try to use the simplest design of character, composition, and color that can show my feeling to deliver a message. “Less is more” is true, I really agree with this.” 

“I always want to create a world that is full of positive power. In that world, humans and animals can have their own personality and they can pursue their own dreams.”
