Loving these Zodiac sign portraits created by Berlin-based illustrator, graphic designer and art director, Cloudy Thurstag aka Claudia. As in many of our posts we prefer to hear from the artist herself:
“Letting yourself go and loose yourself in the moment is what I love about illustration. I switch from analog to digital all the time – when the ideas come I use pencil and paper, but for the realized illustration I work entirely digital. A lot of subjects are displaying a longing or an emotion being close to nature using cinematic colors to create an atmosphere to get lost inside.â€
You can view more of these Zodiac signs and other works on her website, Behance and Instagram. Some of her portraits can be purchased here in her Etsy shop.
Mercedes deBellard is a freelance illustrator living and working in Madrid, Spain. She is a well known portrait illustrator demonstrating an elegant and expressive style. We were particularly attracted to these floral portraits.
Admiring this new series of embroidered portraits created by Amsterdam-based artist, Petra Wolzak. This series entitled, “Fighting Femalesâ€, honors a group of women who achieved enormous progress for their families, their village, their country, their world. Her colorful portraits are constructed of leather, embroidery thread, wool, and glow-in-the-dark twine. The first of this series features explorers and people of the North and South Poles.
