Shown above are the paper sculptures created by multimedia artist, Elsa Mora. These stunning papercuts show an incredible attention to detail, consistency and certainly much patience. She writes this regarding her medium:

“Paper is a simple material that can be manipulated in endless ways. From flat pieces to 3 dimensional sculptures and installations, to photographic images and animation, paper has the potential to become whatever we want. The only limit is our imagination.”

Susanna Bauer

SusannaBauerIt takes intense concentration and exceptional needlework skills to create these amazing miniature art pieces. That gentle touch belongs to UK-based artist, Susanna Bauer, who uses natural found objects as a canvas and embellishes them with crochet. She says this of her work:

“My work begins with a walk. I find a leaf, a piece of driftwood. I take it home. Its new life begins.”

Nick Mount

NickMountThe beautiful collection of glass sculptures shown above is the work of Australia’s master craftsman, Nick Mount.  This most accomplished and celebrated studio glass artist was named Living Treasure: Master of Australian Craft in 2012.  In one of his exhibition entitled, ‘The Fabric of Work’, he was quoted as saying:

“I identify as a maker and believe “work” is fundamental in the development of identity. This principal extends well beyond those of us that call ourselves “craftspeople” and, for me, the fabric of our community is, to a large extent, determined by the work we do with our hands.”
