Interior designer and artist Griffin Carrick creates these quilled paper hangings from her home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Each piece is made of quilled recycled card stock that Griffin hand cuts, rolls, and folds into three-dimensional sculptures. She says this about her incredible art:
“My love of quilling comes from the process of hand cutting, rolling, folding and configuring paper, transforming this two dimensional material into a three dimensional objects including paper tapestries and vessels. The textures, patterns and forms found in the built and natural environments as well as the traditional decorative arts of ceramics and textiles heavily influence my work. Ultimately, my practice is a constant experiment in exploring the three dimensional potential of paper and the unexpected use of this familiar material.â€
Israeli born Yoni Alter is a London-based designer and art director. He studied at Jerusalem Academy of Art and Design and continued his education at London College of Communication. The artist utilizes bold silhouettes and colors to depict architectural landmarks and icons from around the world. We were drawn to the simplified images, perspective and the dynamic splashes of colors.
Love these nature and folklore inspired hand painted wooden brooches and ornaments created by Riga-based illustrator, Diana Renjina. The wooden pieces are made from birch plywood delicately painted with acrylic paint and varnish. Her main artistic focus is illustration but also wants to explore graphic and web design freelancing on a variety of projects.
