Love these delicate glass orbs created by Japan-based artist Mai Yamamoto. As usual there isn’t much information on the artist. We do know that she studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts, University of Wolverhampton, UK and Anadolu Universitesi in Turkey. She has also worked at the renowned Japanese glass studio, Ushio.
Found these simple and delicate note cards on Japanese handmade market site, Creema. The designer is Hiroe Miyaoka a gift wrapping and quilling instructor and paper coordinator. She drew on her experience as advertising signage designer and display artist for gift and small good stores. She has also written many books on the subject and published in six foreign language versions. In 2014 her brand and business, Toi et Moi, was established.
The ethereal embroideries shown above are the works of Japanese embroidery artist Yuri Miyazaki. A graduate of Kanzawa University she started embroidery painting around 2014 producing many pieces for solo exhibitions. She works primarily on translucent fabric with a loose stitches resembling ink sketches on paper.Â
More of her work can be seen on her website (in Japanese) and on Instagram. Â
