Santiago Salvador Ascui

Love these colorful patterns of assembled figures and faces created by Chilean artist Santiago Salvador Ascui.  The figures are arranged in sequences with the focus on hues instead of the narrative.  The artist holds a Fine Arts degree and has exhibited widely in Chile and Europe.

You can view more of his work on his website, Facebook and Instagram.

Ruby Silvious

Artist and graphic designer Ruby Silvious has been experimenting and creating art on recycled and found materials. In 2015 she began a project called 363 Days of Tea, a visual daily record of her impression of the moment. She followed it up with 52 weeks of tea, 26 days of tea in Japan and 26 Days of tea in France. The used tea bags became her canvas on which she drew, painted and collaged using ink, watercolor, gouache and paper. This incredible series can be seen on her website and on Instagram.

Karen O’Neil

Woodstock-based painter Karen O’Neil grew up in an artistic family learning to paint light from her brother James. Her still life paintings of glassware, china and fruits has an airy quality showing an artist fascinated by transparency and reflection. She says this about still life on ASLinea.org:

“My fascination with still life began in art school.  It’s about the pure joy of seeing – the monumental and profound in our everyday visual experiences.”

The artist can be found on her website and on Facebook.
