Estudio Guardabosques

Estudio Guardabosques is a Buenos Aires-based design and illustration studio consisting of Carolina Silvero and Juan Nicolás Elizalde. They like to draw and make things with paper using the ancient art of paper folding.  Their main focus is on nature crafting not only the birds shown above but also various geometric mammals.  They create a wide range of paper projects for publishing, fashion, advertising, cinema and other artistic branches.

You can see more of their work on their website, Facebook, Behance and Instagram.

Lindsey Thomas

Admiring these felted whimsical animals created by London-based textile artist, Lindsey Thomas.  She excels in the art of needle felting, poking and stabbing fiber with a needle until a desired shape is created.  In 2012 she acquired a degree in illustration from Middlesex University and in her spare time dabbled with mix media and fiber. On her bio she says this about her art:

“I find joy in the way a pile of fluff can be magically transformed into whatever animal might be summoned from my mind. Once the face is there with eyes to peer at me as I stab life into the creatures, I fall a little bit in love with them.”

You can follow the artist on her website, Behance, Facebook and Instagram.  Some of her pieces can be purchased on her online shop.

Oupas

We so love this idea of a paper flower shop perfect for those who are allergic to flowers or those with a limited cut-flower budget.  This is exactly what this Portuguese studio, Oupas, has done.  The studio consists of Cidália, Joana and Sofia who studied graphic design together.  After finishing college they decided that they shouldn’t stop and wait for a good job, they should get into the front battle and start their own studio.  The designers are paper and cardboard makers who started creating mainly for big events but as their skills improved focused on smaller detailed works.

You can follow the studio at their website, Facebook, Behance and Instagram.  Their floral bouquets can be purchased here at their shop.
