Isabelle de Borchgrave

IsabelledeBorchgraveTotally in awe of this elaborate historical paper costumes created by Belgian artist, Isabelle de Borchgrave. Inspired by a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art she began to work on four big collections all in paper and trompe l’oeil. Although noted today for fashion and paper folding the artist has never put aside her one and original driving force; painting, some of which can also be seen on her website.

Seema Krish

SeemaKrishAdmiring the vibrant fabrics created by Bombay-born textile designer, Seema Krish. She creates contemporary designs that are combined with traditional textile making techniques such as hand block printing, screen printing, embroidery, shibori and weaving. Often the techniques are utilized in combination. The company’s mission statement describes her work more precisely:

“Our mission is to enhance the lives of the users and producers of our products that are simple, beautiful and luxurious; as well as environmentally and socially conscious.”
