Always on the lookout for great craft projects and in our search stumbled upon these wonderful crocheted cacti from online site, Projekt, a fair trade enterprise. The design-based operation employs twenty-five crochet artists from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Congo and South Africa crafting under the design direction of Peta Becker. London and Stockholm-based multi-disciplinary artist and designer Hanna Waldron is well known for her amazing textile and tapestry designs. We are particularly liking her illustration style based on a grid-base image making process. There’s a rhythm in all her work where you can see the influences of line, pattern, texture and structures of her surroundings.

These gutsy creations bring many of us back to our rite of passage, frog dissection. The knitted anatomy is the creation of knitter and crafter, Emily Stoneking.
