St. Thistle

St.ThistleSimone Gonzalez is the sole creator of Australian stationery & design brand, St. Thistle. We love the elegant letterpress cards and patterned notebooks in her shop. The creator writes this about the brand name:

“St. Thistle is all about those wonderful new directions that arise from those shady paths which we can sometimes find ourselves on. The notion of a spectacular grace as a by-product of adversity, brought to our lives when we least expect it.

So keep your head about you when you tread on those thistles; keep love in your heart; and you will discover that sometimes that hardship was a mere signpost pointing to a brighter and better way.”

Birds’ Words

Bird'sWords2Revisiting one of our favorite Japanese ceramic brand, Birds’ Words, created by potter, Ito Toshie. They’ve added more amazing ceramic pieces, of course, but we’re really loving the graphics on their handkerchiefs, prints and stationery.

Alex Szabo-Haslam

AlexSzabo-HaslamFound these “Great Minds” philosophy note cards on Kickstarter and had one of those “why didn’t I think of that” moment. The series of cards and posters with quotes from some of the world’s great thinkers is the conception of creative designer, Alex Szabo-Haslam. Love the project so we funded it and can’t wait to receive our box of printed cards. You can purchase some of the posters here at Big Cartel.
