Atelier Mori

We know very little about this artisan but we do know that he creates traditional silk embroideries on kimonos and that he is also an embroidery writer and teacher. His web sites are labeled under the name, Atelier Mori and this modern stitching series is called ‘crossing’.

Maud Vantours

Maud Vantours, designer and visual artist, lives and works in Paris. She followed an artistic curriculum specializing in textile design and materials research. Over time paper became her favorite material, folding, cutting, accumulating and superimposing to create layers. Her 3D sculptures translates into set designs, fashion accessories, editorial treatments and original graphics.

Kyoko Sugiura

Kyoko Sugiura is a graduate of Bunka Fashion College in Japan. She is the creator behind the brand, Kyoko Création Broderie, an atelier and shop in Paris. The artist uses a variety of hand embroidery techniques and materials that show the richness and complexity of her designs. Much of her work is inspired by the diversity of nature. The last four images show her collaborative
effort with Japanese ceramist, Akiko Hoshina.
