We love these miniature pieces but donâ€™t know very much about the maker, Anastasia, other than she is from Russia. She writes that she is an artist, dreamer and jewelry maker. She works in many forms of media from illustration and photography to making ceramics . Her jewelryâ€™s made from a variety of materials, flume, porcelain, epoxy resin, clay to name a few. Travel, nature, color, birds, simplicity, love, kindness, sky and earth are her inspirations.

Looks like we have another craft to learn, Nanduti lace. The name means â€œspider webâ€ in the indigenous language of Paraguay.Â The lace is worked on tightly stretched frame and are released by cutting away the backing fabric.Â The samples shown above are the work of Japanese Nanduti artist, Eriko Watabe. She sells elegant accessories under her brand name Puka.

Erin Lightfoot is the daughter of an architect and sculptor. She trained formally in both graphic and fashion design before selecting ceramics as the medium to launch her label in 2011. The Australian-based artist creates porcelain jewelry and vases. She creates simple forms in porcelain decorated with subtle color schemes and geometric patterns.Her brand can be found in many galleries and gift boutiques around Australia.
In and article onÂ the Museum of Contemporary Art she gives this advice in particular to women artists:
â€œWell, the advice I would give to anyone wanting to explore (or work with) their creativity is to start working on a project right away. It takes time for things to build and you canâ€™t really predict how things will work out, but I think itâ€™s really important to create work consistently. Consistent output helps build momentum.â€
