Juho Viitasalo

Love these simple sophisticated Nordic patterns created by Finish industrial designer Juho Viilasalo. He is currently living in Japan and is the chief designer for Propex Design, a design consultancy company in Osaka. He is also the owner and chief designer at Design Viitasalo Ltd. in Finland. The patterns have been used in smart phone cases and furoshiki (wrapping cloth) textile for the Japanese brand, Kotonowa.

Jane Robbins

Admiring these intricately cut paper collages created by UK based artist Jane Robbins. She studied
graphic design at Hornsey College of Art focusing primarily on printmaking. She later began to work in paper collage and with encouragement from family and friends decided to make it a full time career. Her unique and beautiful collage images are inspired by flat pattern, patchwork, and found objects. You can view more of her work on her website and on Instagram.

Nicholas Matej

Hard to ignore the beautiful hand-lettered alphabet created by Cleveland-based freelance illustrator and designer, Nicholas Matej. The letters and numbers are his contribution to the 36 Days of Type project. His work is influenced by nostalgia, craft and the desire to push the limits of his own creativity through new ideas. More of his work can be seen on his website, Instagram, Behance and Dribble. Some of his designs can be purchased on Big Cartel and on Etsy.
