Emma Congdon is a London-based multidisciplinary designer who created these contemporary cross stitch patterns shown above. Her graphic design background is evident in her unique typographic and retro style.  A freelance designer she currently owns and runs a successful stitch embroidery business branded, ‘Stitchrovia’.

Admiring the textile collection and product line of Saana ja Olli, a designer couple and an award-winning design company from Turku, Finland. Saana Sipilä and Olli Sallinen design their own patterns inspired by ancient Nordic folklore and produce their hemp textile collection in south western Finland. Tokyo Pear

Tokyo Pear is a letterpress studio and shop that got its start in Seattle, Washington and then relocated to Japan in 2007. The brand is owned by Eriko and Darren who decided to introduce independent letterpress to Japan. Their graphics are minimal and show a definite folk art influence. You can follow them on their website and purchase a few of their items on Etsy.
