Teresa Lim

TeresaLimSingapore-based illustrator and textile designer, Teresa Lim, takes home a part of the country she visits with these awesome embroidered souvenirs. Incidentally, we like her embroidery embellishments on those canvas shoes as well. Her design philosophy is to join together her love of illustration, embroidery and surface pattern design. She also writes poetry, particularly favoring this insight from her blog:

“For the farther I travel, the closer I am to myself.
And thats what matters the most to me.
I believe it’ll be okay.”

Mr & Mrs Clynk

Mr&MrsClynkThe Clynks are Jerome and Karine Clynckemaillie, he an interior architect and she a textile designer. Together they’ve designed a collection of home goods under the brand, Mr & Mrs Clynk. We particularly like this collection they’ve collaborated with Atomic Soda, loving the simple and timeless vintage-inspired patterns and coloration.

Zoe Attwell

ZoeAttwellAdmiring the simple shapes, colors and textures on these designs created by London-based surface pattern designer, Zoe Attwell. Her stylized patterns are mostly hand drawn with a few vector elements. The patterns are made into stationery, pillows and tea towels, some of which can be purchased here on Not on the High Street. She writes this about inspiration:

“I’m drawn to design from the 50s, Lucienne Day, Miró, Scandinavian design, and to the colourful and abstract. My design style is mostly hand-drawn, abstract and stylised. My patterns are happy and cheerful and are designed to bring fun and colour to your home.”
