Studio Gemakker

StudioGemakkerDanish textile designers Helle Gråbaek and Maria Kirk Mikkelsen (founder of Studio Gemakker) created these patterns with strips of painted paper entitled ‘Salute the Sketch’.

“We salute the sketch and that which is unfinished. The incomplete that arouses curiosity and opens for opportunities. Raw edges, the presence of humans and time. We nurture the experimental. A process for the unknown, a manifestation of rapid thinking and the spontaneous quest for the sublime.”

Angie Parker Textiles

AngieParkerTextilesWould really love a few of these colorful hand woven seat covers and chairs, the creation of UK-based textile designer and weaver, Angie Parker. Inspired by traditional Scandinavian rug weaving techniques she applies the same vibrant color palette in her collection of area rugs as well.

Mana Morimoto

ManaMorimotoJapanese textile artist, Mana Morimoto, is known for her quirky embroidery on paper and historical photographs. However, it is these pastel colored woven samplers that we find just as stimulating. You can follow Morimoto-san, aka MNMRMT, here on Tumbler and purchase her prints at Society 6.
