Loving these quirky handcrafted jewelry available in the Etsy shop, Breadcrumb Crafts. The illustrated jewelry are the creations of Berlin-based illustrator and crafter, Anna Tverdokhlebova. The artist was born in St. Petersburg where her focus was on book illustration but gradually her hobby of jewelry making became her job.
You can see her illustrations, jewelry and ceramics on Tumblr, Instagram and, of course, on Etsy.
Rob McMaster is a freelance illustrator, storyboard artist and comic creator from Aukland, New Zealand. In 2015 he and his wife moved to Tokyo, Japan to learn more about the culture, design and people. Together they also found Neko Box, a ceramics and stationery brand curating ‘zakka’ goods for Japan-lovers worldwide.
We love the vintage/comic style of his work more of which you can view on his website, Behance and Facebook.
Over the years Swedish designer Ulla-Stina Wikander has collected cross-stitch embroideries to create new covers for vintage everyday objects. To date she has produced over a hundred different designs. She explains her concept as follows: “In 2012 I started to cover ordinary household items from the 70s, like a vacuum cleaner, sewing machine, electric mixer etc. I find it interesting to see how these objects transforms in a new context; the obsolete, the things we do not want any longer, the old and forgotten things. They become artifacts from a begone era, disguised, camouflaged and dressed. I give them a second life and although I cut the embroideries into pieces, I think they look very beautiful, when they have been ‘dressed up’.â€Â
