Veronika Richterová

VR2These incredible regenerated chandeliers are the work of Czechoslovakian artist, Veronika Richterová. The artist together with graphic artist husband, Michal Cihlár, have chronicled everything related to PET (polyethylene teraphtalate) bottles as the highly malleable bottle has proven to be an excellent material for her artistic endeavors. Since 2004 her work has been focused primarily on PET-ART (plastic bottle art) and creative recycling. Be sure to view the amazing animal and plant sculptures on her website as well.

Hannah Waldron

HannahWaldronLondon and Stockholm-based multi-disciplinary artist and designer Hanna Waldron is well known for her amazing textile and tapestry designs. We are particularly liking her illustration style based on a grid-base image making process. There’s a rhythm in all her work where you can see the influences of line, pattern, texture and structures of her surroundings.

Kyototo

KyototoCoveting some of these products from Japanese online shop and brand, Kyototo. The name represents the blending of the traditional and contemporary centers of Japan, Kyoto and Tokyo. They did just that with the fusion of traditional production technique and contemporary embroidered products and motifs. Be sure to check out their shop as they provide international shipping. We never tire of the Japanese “less is more” approach to design.
